Meet Our Staff

Paula

Paula is a retired public children’s librarian, of 31 years, from South Dakota.  She enjoys reading, writing, arts, genealogy, knitting and gardening, in her spare time.  She moved to Alabama, 5 years ago, to have quality time with her daughter and grandson and to get out of the snow! Paula also has a wonderful son and husband. She has a Boston Terrier, Fenway and a grand-dog named Jack. 

Her favorite reading subjects are historical fiction, nonfiction, classics, religious and of course any YA and children’s books.  You will find Paula in the kids area telling stories during storytime, finding books for kids, tidying and getting ready for new children’s events at Page and Palette.  Her mission is to get as many books as possible into children’s hands and hope they will love books as much as she does. 

Erin

Erin is an avid reader. Some of her favorite memories are from when she was a child living in San Diego and going to the bookstore, Grounds For Murder, where her mother worked. Erin has lived in many places,  including Texas, where she was a Lead manager at Barnes Noble. Erin not only loves to read, but also has a passion for fitness.  She is a fitness professional and holds a variety of certifications.  She also leads our monthly Detox to Retox Yoga class. Whenever possible, Erin loves to go to the beach and spend time with her 3 children, husband,  4 cats, dog, and bearded dragon lizard.
