Jim Williams -- Author Event

  • Page & Palette 32 South Section Street Fairhope, AL, 36532 (map)

Jim’s photography within his book are all photos of Alabama which should make a good mothers day or fathers day gift. All of the proceeds will go toward a foundation he developed in memory of his daughter.

Searching for Sweet Home is about our true home, ourselves, and the goodness that permeates our lives. Stunning nature photography is linked with thoughtful prose that encourages everyone to take a closer look at what is means to be 'good.' The images themselves speak with soft and gentle voices that call attention to some of the finest hopes we should have for ourselves and each other. In Jim's first book, High Altitude Paradise, he spent 34 years on a quest to photograph all the lakes in Rocky Mountain National Park. His second book, Wisdom from the Wilderness, sent him traveling across the U.S. for life lessons from the wilderness. His photographs, rather than merely documenting scenes, are an artistic expression that give meaning to the experiences and capture the essence of the subjects. As a writer, he digs deep to find unique insights from his explorations. All the profits from the sales of his books go to The Meredith Williams Foundation which in turn are donated to children and families in the Williams communities.
