Stuart McNair
Stuart McNair is a singer/songwriter and
piano/keys/accordion player based in
New Orleans. He plays roots music ranging
from early New Orleans Blues and Jazz, to
Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco, to more
recent NOLA pioneers like Professor Longhair
and Dr. John.
Stuart has taken his songs all over,
from the Bluebird in Nashville
to CBGB's in New York...from Fringefest
in Edinburgh, Scotland, to the London
pub scene during the 2012 Olympics.
He has collaborated and toured with a
range of artists, recently creating live
recordings backed by Zydeco Jam Band
Donna the Buffalo.
Called "one of the South's musical treasures"
for his ability to embody Southern musical
traditions and weave them into Earth-friendly,
life-affirming, uplifting songs, Stuart has seen
his songs landing on AAA, NPR, and other charts.
His original songs, called "dazzling", "uplifting",
and "glorious", deliver an Earth-friendly message
and deal with love, life, and communion with nature.
