This third-generation family-owned bookstore has been a Fairhope landmark for over 40 years. Proudly seated in the heart of the downtown community, we are a host to a range of author events from local, up-and-coming names to block-busting celebrities. In addition to new (and used) books and art supplies, we also carry greeting cards, journals, and a variety of merchandise. All of this over a cup of locally roasted coffee in Latte Da–our very own coffee shop–it's no wonder some of our customers never leave the store.
Free gift wrapping is available on everything we sell, and most purchases qualify for our Frequent Buyer program. It's free to join and for every $100 you spend, we'll give you a $5 coupon!
Book DepartmentWe offer a wide selection of current best sellers, young-adult and children's books, literary classics, and the best of contemporary fiction and nonfiction. We are happy to stock the required reading lists for our area schools, and as always, if we don't have the book you want in stock, we'll be pleased to order it for you. We can even find out-of-print books!
Latte DaOur coffee shop serves not only coffee (from a regular old cup of Joe to a double-shot-extra foam-skim-latte with a touch of cinnamon) but also tea, ice rages, Blue Bell ice cream, and sinful pastries–all in a bookish ambiance. Enjoy a break from work or shopping, conversing with friends, or, if alone, dawdling a while with a magazine from our newsstand or taking advantage of our free wireless Internet access.
Our aptly-named used book department is a gold mine for bargain books that covers the spectrum of genres. We have an excellent selection of fiction, non-fiction, children's books, young adult titles, great deals on cookbooks, and a miscellaneous section with just about everything else you could think of. With a little bit of every kind of book, most of which are priced between 1.98-4.98, you're sure to have something to take home with you.
